Overview & Highlights

Nestled amidst the tranquility of the Alicante mountains, Restaurant El Paraiso offers an authentic taste of Mediterranean cuisine with a distinct Spanish flair that captures the heart and soul of the region. Located on Poet de Mas, 95 in the charming village of Parcent, this unassuming gem delivers a dining experience that is as genuine as it is captivating.

Stepping into El Paraiso feels like discovering a treasured secret, hidden within the embrace of olive trees and natural beauty. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a warm, down-to-earth hospitality that makes every guest feel like a welcomed friend. It’s not a place of extravagant pretension but rather a cozy setting where quality and authenticity shine through.

The menu, though not extensive, promises and delivers true culinary delights. Highlights include the renowned wild boar and venison dishes, cooked to perfection and bursting with rich, earthy flavors, enhanced uniquely by the theatrical touch of charred rosemary served tableside. For those seeking options beyond game, the tender octopus—akin in texture to pulled pork—is a revelation when paired with creamy cheese sauces and fresh seasonal vegetables. Other standout plates include the smoky aubergine, melt-in-your-mouth tuna steak salads, and vibrant goat cheese-topped greens, offering a harmonious blend of taste and texture.

Each dish is seasoned thoughtfully, demonstrating a skillful balance that speaks volumes about the passion and expertise of Svetlana, the chef behind this culinary sanctuary. Coupled with house wines that complement every bite and generous servings, dining here feels like a true celebration of Mediterranean flavors. The food not only pleases the palate but also invites you into its story—rustic, hearty, and deeply satisfying.

Equally impressive is the service, which guests consistently praise for its warmth and genuine care without any hint of fussiness. The staff's courteous, attentive approach enhances the overall experience, creating a welcoming environment where conversations flow as freely as the local wine. It’s the kind of place where spontaneity is embraced—one of the guests, arriving with a large group of motorcyclists, admired how effortlessly the team accommodated them on the terrace without skipping a beat.

El Paraiso is also admired for its impeccable cleanliness, an often-overlooked detail that signals the high standards maintained throughout. This attention to detail, combined with the authentic flavors and heartfelt service, makes every meal feel like a cherished occasion.

Whether you are a passionate foodie eager to explore robust, wild game specialties or a traveler searching for a memorable dining experience away from the usual tourist trail, Restaurant El Paraiso stands out as a destination worth seeking out. It is a place where the simplicity of traditional Mediterranean cuisine is elevated to an art form, leaving you with lingering memories of great tastes, genuine smiles, and the warm spirit of Spain’s countryside.

Hidden in the trees there it is “El Paraiso”. A Spanish style restaurant-not too fancy - but really good. The Menü is promising and realistically priced; the service is down-to- earth-good. And the services are very clean: a good indicator. And the food reflects it: Great taste, well done and seasoned - real pleasure and a 9,5 on my scale.

Great food, great host, great price! 9 of us turned up for lunch unannounced whilst in the mountains on our motorbikes. A table was made up for us on the terrace with no fuss. The owner made suggestions for lunch and produced a great lunch with drinks for only 12€ each. Will definitely be back.

What a find! Amazing local restaurant specialising in wild boar and venison. Friendly, welcoming service and fabulous food and wines. House wines are great quality. Reservation recommended and parking can be a little tight if it’s busy. Had one of the best meals of our holiday here. Memorable, super tasty. Will definitely be returning!

No menu available, but they specialise in a boar dish which is served with charred at the table rosemary. I'm not a fan of game so had Octopus which came with a side of vegetables and a cheese sauce. It was extremely filling and of the same texture as pulled pork. We also had salad with goats cheese and raw tuna steak and tomato salad. Service at lunch was not fast but it was courtious and friendly. Fairly good english spoken by thw staff, too. Would come again.

Simply WOW. Very, very tasty food, absolutely exemplary and courteous service. Highly recommended

This place was the highlight of my trip in Spain with my husband. The food was delicious; we were served bread, wine, 2 tapas, 2 main courses, and desert all for about 60£. Everything we ate/drank was a 10/10. While we didn’t speak Spanish that well, the waiters made us feel welcomed - so much so that we returned back to this restaurant for a second time before leaving Spain. I highly recommend the apple crumble dessert, it was the best dessert I have ever had!

The most amazing food ever tried. Highly recommended, wild boar and deer dishes are a must to try here, aubergine on fire and octopus with mush potatoes also. There's good wine for that gorgeous food. Svetlana, the chef, is coking all her dishes amazingly and you definitely must try her food, you'll thank me later. The restaurant is not fancy, but is clean and full every weekend. The staff is more than helpful and very friendly.

A must place to eat when you are in the area. After a warm welcome we enjoyed delicous tapas and wonderful main dishes. The whole experience was rounded off with excellent and delicious desserts. Definitely not our last visit! ¡Muchas gracias por esta hermosa velada!
